1. CUSTOM TAKE-OFF

A take-off is a “counting” of a product as it appears on a set of architectural drawings so that its cost can be estimated.
The counts are then summarized in a report. As you can imagine, many many different types of products are used to construct a building. Each one of those products needs to be counted in order for its costs to be estimated. The take-off provides the information a manufacturer needs to accurate calculate a price for their products. It includes:
1) Project Description information such as name, location, architecture firm, interior design firm
2) Notes from the Room Finish Schedule, Plans, and Specifications (if provided)
3) A bill of material containing information such as room name, room number, drawing number, drawing elevation/detail number, width, height/length, quantity, total s.f., and special notes.
The amount of detail provided on the take-off is part of the custom nature of the report. We work with you to ensure that the information you require is in the report while keeping it concise and easy to read.
The take-off is generated using Microsoft Excel. Customers can benefit from the data manipulation functions and other features of Excel by applying them to the file provided by Harmony Take-offs. If requested, the report can also be provided in pdf form.

2. EMUD – Electronic Marked Up Drawings

The EMUD is created by condensing and annotating a set of electronic architectural drawings.  The drawings are annotated using colors, text, symbols and other mark up tools to really hone in on your product and give you the information you need to quickly isolate the scope of work.

The custom take-off and EMUD combine to make an even more powerful tool: a complete map that clearly and efficiently navigates you through the relevant project drawings.  Together, the two reports define the scope and quantity of your product or products.
